Starting off my staycation with a craft to use up my felt scraps. I have so many from making Dino Dana badges. I looked through a lot of tutorials using wire and glue, and decided against them, going with sewing.

I used a wire hoop from my collection of random things, so this project was totally free. I made a paper template for a leaf, and went through my scraps, finding pieces that were big enough. The colors are a bit weird- it might look better if I stuck to different shades of a color, or a limited palette of 3 colors. I pinched the leaf over the hoop and sewed it on, then added more leaves, all pointing in the same direction. I could do a running stitch from leaf to leaf without an issue. I kept going until I was close, and realized I could space out the leaves to finish. I moved the leaves in different directions, and voila! A pretty little decoration for our door.
