Try a Craft goals

I’ve explored many crafts over the years. This year I am going to try a craft each month and report back on it. I know I want to start with needle felting in January. The rest of my list is still forming, so let me know if you recommend a craft for me to try.

I’ve tried some crafts that I now love, some that I don’t want to ever do again, and others that I’m terrible at but sometimes have fun playing with (like cookie decorating!). The crafts on my potential list intrigue me, but perhaps are intimidating or need special equipment.  I don’t want to spend a fortune on this challenge, so I will see what I can do.

Why am I doing this? Because I have realized researching and trying new things is one of my hobbies! I also like giving myself quests.

I’ve been binge watching a tv show on Roku called Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, a UK show that is all about crafting, with craft competitions and profiles of artists. It has all kinds of crafts, from crochet to metal working. There is a competition with handmade trophies each episode. I wish there were more shows like this. I know there are some that I can’t see in the U.S. BBC, if you are reading this, please allow more of your shows to be seen in the U.S., like the sewing bee!
